Anaheim Gas and Diesel Prices Edge Higher as Orange County Rates Rise
Orange County regular gas reached $5.655 and diesel $6.965 in AAA’s latest check, with both up from the prior day and one Anaheim station below the county averages.
Regular gasoline and diesel prices both moved higher in the latest AAA check for Orange County, with diesel showing the larger increase over the past week. The figures provide countywide context for Anaheim drivers, but they are not an Anaheim-wide average.
Orange County gas average rises
AAA lists regular gasoline at $5.655 per gallon in Orange County, up 0.6 cents from the previous day. The average is also up 9.2 cents from the prior week.
That is higher than AAA’s July 29 check, when regular gas was listed at $5.649. Prices can vary significantly from one station to another, even within Anaheim.
Diesel posts the larger weekly gain
Orange County diesel is averaging $6.965 per gallon, also up 0.6 cents day over day. Diesel has climbed 11.6 cents over the past week, a larger increase than regular gasoline.
Diesel was listed at $6.959 during the July 29 check, putting the latest county average 0.6 cents higher. The separate movement matters for delivery operators, contractors, service companies and other businesses that rely on diesel-powered vehicles.
Anaheim station snapshot
A 7-Eleven at 107 West Ball Road in Anaheim lists regular gasoline at $5.499 per gallon and diesel at $6.899 per gallon. The station page says its gas prices were updated within 24 hours.
Those listed prices are about 15.6 cents below the current Orange County regular-gas average and about 6.6 cents below the county diesel average. The station is only one local snapshot, however, and its listed prices are not guaranteed to match the pump when a driver arrives.
What drivers and businesses should watch
Higher fuel costs can add pressure to household commuting budgets and weekend travel plans. They can also affect operating costs for delivery drivers, contractors, restaurants, home-service businesses and other companies that build fuel into their daily expenses. The practical effect will depend on how long the increase lasts and whether prices continue moving higher or begin to ease.
