Traffic Crackdown, DUI Results and Big Shows Highlight Henderson Weekend

Henderson is wrapping up the weekend with a mix of public safety updates and big entertainment draws across the city.

Traffic Patrols Target Speeding Drivers

Henderson Police are in the final stretch of a monthlong traffic safety initiative aimed at curbing speeding. Through March 23, officers have been conducting high-visibility patrols in areas known for excessive speeds as part of a statewide enforcement effort.

The department received more than $174,000 in state grant funding to support the added patrols. Officials say the goal is simple: reduce crashes and injuries by increasing awareness and enforcement.

No DUI Arrests During Recent Crackdown

In a related update, Henderson Police reported zero DUI arrests during a February impaired driving campaign. Officers stopped 277 drivers during the operation, issuing citations primarily for speeding and intersection violations.

While no impaired driving arrests were made, police say the campaign focused on prevention and visibility following several serious crashes in the region earlier this year.

Concert Crowds at M Resort

On the entertainment side, the M Resort Spa Casino hosted back-to-back performances this weekend featuring Puddle of Mudd and Eve 6. The shows brought an influx of visitors to the south end of the city, adding to an already busy spring events calendar.

City leaders have emphasized community events and tourism as key parts of Henderson’s ongoing growth, and large-scale concerts continue to draw regional audiences.

As March winds down, residents can expect continued traffic enforcement through Sunday night and more public events heading into the final week of the month.
