Cadence Crossing Casino Opens on Boulder Highway

In late March, Boyd Gaming opened Cadence Crossing Casino along Boulder Highway, adding a new entertainment and employment hub in eastern Henderson. The project is expected to generate new jobs and increase traffic to nearby retail and residential communities.

City leaders have long viewed the Boulder Highway corridor as a key redevelopment zone, and the casino’s debut marks another milestone in that strategy.

Boulder Highway Construction Impacts Businesses

At the same time, some Boulder Highway businesses report sharp declines in customer traffic as major construction continues under the Reimagine Boulder Highway project. Some owners say sales have dropped by roughly 30 percent during ongoing lane restrictions and detours.

A new analysis released this week highlights the broader economic impact of parks and recreation projects in Henderson. The planned West Henderson Fieldhouse, a $17.6 million project funded through the city’s redevelopment agency, is expected to expand recreation access while supporting workforce development and long-term economic vitality.
