Sheboygan plan consideration shifted two weeks to Nov. 2
Sheboygan Common Council consideration of the cityโs draft comprehensive-plan update shifted from Oct. 19 to Nov. 2, WHBL reported Oct. 16. The two-week delay means the council is expected to take up the proposal later than scheduled; a decision on the draft remains pending. Mayor Ryan Sorenson told WHBL the extension was intended to give community members more time and more avenues to share their perspectives.
The city describes its comprehensive plan as a long-term guide for growth and development. The draft update includes a future land-use map and covers land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure and community facilities. The draft remains a proposal, not adopted city policy. The cityโs March 5 public-review notice said public input would help inform the final version before it proceeded through the cityโs review and adoption process.
