Arlington Sets Town Halls for Draft Innovate Arlington Plan
Arlington is inviting residents to review and comment on the draft Innovate Arlington comprehensive plan during a series of district town halls before the city moves toward finalizing and adopting it.
The District 1 meeting is scheduled for Aug. 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Texas Rangers Golf Club, 701 Brown Blvd. The city also listed a District 2 meeting on Aug. 6 at Arlington Public Libraryโs Southwest Branch, followed by meetings Aug. 18 at the ACTIV Center and Aug. 24 at Wellspring on Main. Residents may attend any of the town halls, ask questions and provide feedback.
A framework for future growth
Innovate Arlington is a proposed long-range plan intended to guide decisions about growth, land use and zoning, transportation, utilities, public facilities and community services. The city says the draft followed 18 months of community engagement, analysis and visioning.
The plan remains a proposal; Arlington has not taken final adoption action. The cityโs fiscal 2026 budget document sets a target of finalizing the comprehensive plan in August 2026 and adopting it in October 2026. Feedback from the town halls will come before that planned adoption decision.
