Food & Wine Fest Returns, Ducks Win Big, and ART Service Nears End in Anaheim
Anaheim, CA – March 8, 2026 – Food & Wine Fest returns, Ducks win at Honda Center, Sakura Spring Fest blooms, and ART buses set to end service.
A busy early March weekend brought food festivals, hockey highlights and a major transit update for Anaheim residents and visitors.
Food & Wine Festival Kicks Off at Disney California Adventure
The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival officially returned on March 6 and runs through April 27. The annual celebration spotlights California-inspired cuisine with dozens of specialty dishes, craft beverages and limited-time marketplaces spread throughout the park.
This year’s event features both new menu creations and returning favorites, along with culinary demonstrations and entertainment. Special ticket offers are also available for California residents during the festival period.
Taste of Japan Blooms at Anaheim GardenWalk
Also launching March 6 is the free Taste of Japan Sakura Spring Fest at Anaheim GardenWalk. The three-day cultural celebration continues through March 8 with live performances, food vendors, anime merchandise and family-friendly activities.
Festival highlights include a kimono contest, pet costume contest and traditional cultural demonstrations, bringing a splash of spring color and community spirit to the Resort District.
Ducks Dominate at Honda Center
The Anaheim Ducks delivered an exciting home performance March 5, defeating the New York Islanders 5-1 at Honda Center. Goaltender Ville Husso turned in a standout night with 42 saves, energizing the home crowd of more than 14,000 fans.
The win strengthens the Ducks’ position in the Pacific Division as the regular season pushes toward its final stretch.
Anaheim Resort Transportation to End Service
In a significant transportation shift, Anaheim Resort Transportation service is scheduled to end on March 31, 2026. Officials cite rising operating costs and flat revenues as reasons for discontinuing the long-running shuttle system that connects hotels, attractions and key destinations.
The closure marks the end of a familiar transit option for tourists and local workers alike, with alternative transportation planning now top of mind for many in the resort area.
