Frisco Daily Local Headlines: Corporate HQ Move, Park Upgrades, and New Openings
Frisco, TX – February 28, 2026 – Public Storage shifts HQ here, Council advances Lexington Park, and Anchor Bar brings Buffalo wings downtown.
Top story: Public Storage moves its corporate headquarters to Frisco
Public Storage says it is relocating its corporate headquarters from Glendale, California, to Frisco, formalizing a shift that has been building as its Dallas-area office grew into the company’s largest corporate hub. For Frisco, the move adds to the city’s steady pull of major employers and could translate into more white-collar jobs, vendor traffic, and business travel tied to executive and support teams.
The company said it will keep a long-term presence in Glendale even as leadership operations center more firmly in North Texas.
City Hall: Lexington Park playground equipment gets the green light
Frisco City Council approved a purchase order of more than $750,000 for playground equipment for Lexington Park, a planned neighborhood park west of Coit Road. Plans call for two age-specific playgrounds, a nature play area, and features like slides, climbing elements, swings, outdoor fitness equipment, and a water-play pump station.
City materials also outline a broader park buildout that includes shade structures, trails, a multisport court, and a large open lawn as part of the Lexington development.
New in town: Anchor Bar brings Buffalo wings to Frisco
A restaurant credited with inventing the Buffalo wing has opened its first North Texas location in Frisco. The new Anchor Bar is located near Toyota Stadium, leaning into the city’s sports-heavy weekend traffic and adding another national name to the growing dining mix around the Main Street area.
The opening arrives as Frisco continues work to make its core more walkable and easier to park, with additional downtown infrastructure projects still rolling out.
Health update: Safe2Bite expands allergy testing and treatment options
Safe2Bite has opened a Frisco location offering food allergy testing and treatment services for kids and adults, including immunotherapy-based approaches designed to build tolerance over time. The clinic is located at 13052 Dallas Parkway, Suite 210.
