Top headline: e-bike robbery arrest caught on video
Gilbert police released dashcam video Thursday showing the moments officers arrested an 18-year-old suspect accused of taking a child’s e-bike at gunpoint earlier this month. In the video, officers confront the rider, order him off the bike, and take him into custody within minutes of the 911 call.
Police said the robbery was reported near Greenfield and Elliot roads on Feb. 6. Investigators said a .22-caliber handgun was seized and the suspect was booked on multiple felony charges, including armed robbery. Police also said a second suspect, a 14-year-old, was later identified and arrested.
