One key clarification: devices that rely on a throttle and do not have operable pedals are treated as electric motorcycles and are not allowed to operate within the city.
Sports and tourism: Big West keeps its March championships in Henderson
A major West Coast college conference extended its partnership with Lee’s Family Forum, keeping its men’s and women’s basketball championships in Henderson through March 2030. The agreement includes set championship windows each March and options that could extend the partnership even further.
For local businesses, the news locks in another multi-year run of out-of-town fans filling nearby hotels, restaurants and entertainment spots during the heart of the spring sports calendar.
Community and local hockey: grants open, and a rookie honor
The Henderson Silver Knights Foundation opened its 2026 community grant cycle, offering awards of up to $10,000 for eligible local nonprofits. Applications are open through mid-April, with selections expected by late June.
