City Facilities Opening Delayed Due to Weather
Virginia Beach, VA — February 2, 2026 — In response to anticipated icy conditions, the City of Virginia Beach has announced a delayed opening for its offices and facilities. All city offices and facilities will open at 10 a.m. today. However, the TCC/Joint Use Library and all courts and court offices will remain closed for the day.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed during local emergencies, including major weather events, by signing up for VBAlert. To receive important messages and emergency alert notifications from the City of Virginia Beach and Emergency Management during inclement weather, text “VBAlert” to 67283 or sign up at VirginiaBeach.gov/VBAlert.
