Will County election results · Unofficial returns Nov. 3, 2026, 9:41:14 p.m. CST. Census 2024 Will County boundary for location context; vote totals apply only to Joliet Township. Nonpartisan ballot question.
Joliet Township voters rejected an advisory question asking whether the Joliet City Council should approve construction of artificial-intelligence data centers. Will County’s unofficial results showed 14,207 no votes, or 78.90%, and 3,800 yes votes, or 21.10%, with all precincts reporting.
The nonbinding vote registers strong opposition to the proposed use. Because the question was advisory, its defeat does not itself impose a legal ban on data centers or reverse a development approval.
