Arlington Ditch-Improvement Project: Public Meeting July 16 (South & West Arlington)
The City of Arlington says Public Works will begin ditch and utility improvements in South and West Arlington in July 2026. The project is estimated to be completed in September 2027, and includes drainage ditch/culvert work plus water, sewer, sidewalk, and street updates along several area streets.
The City is also hosting a public meeting so residents can ask questions about the scope and neighborhood construction impacts.

What the project covers
According to the City’s notice, the improvements include:
- Ditch maintenance along all streets to reduce the need for frequent maintenance
- Ditch grading and limited driveway culvert replacement to help ditches flow more efficiently
- Waterline replacement on Bell Street
- Waterline/sanitary sewer replacement and some sidewalk replacement on Waterview Drive
- Pavement replacement on Chaperito Trail
The City says the project is focused on reducing frequent City maintenance and significant standing water in roadside ditches within the project limits.
