Second arrest in I-20 shooting that killed a pregnant woman

Arlington police say a second suspect has been arrested in the Nov. 12, 2025 shooting on Interstate 20 that killed 29-year-old Bre’Asia Johnson and her unborn child. Authorities said Corey Daniels, 26, was taken into custody Feb. 25 and faces a capital murder charge. Police have previously said the attack was targeted, not road rage, and that two children in the vehicle were not seriously hurt.

City’s revised discrimination ordinance sparks fresh backlash

Vigil held for Arlington teen killed in accidental shooting, police say

Family and friends gathered Feb. 27 at Veterans Park to remember 15-year-old Riley Jordan, after police said he died Feb. 20 when a group of teens were handling a gun inside a home. A teen has been arrested and faces a manslaughter charge, and the investigation remains ongoing. Loved ones asked the community to keep the focus on Jordan’s life and the support surrounding his family.
